
What It’s Like on St Maarten Now with COVID-19
Just like everywhere else in the world, COVID-19, including the Delta variant, is here on St Maarten. However, for the most part, schools, businesses, bars, and restaurants are operating as normal on the Dutch side. On the French side, a curfew remains in effect from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
In order the enter St Maarten, most visitors must get a PCR or antigen test within 72 hours of arrival. The latest updates are always available at the St Maarten EHAS website.
If you are required to do a test before your departure to your home country, there are many options on both the Dutch side and the French side of the island. The PCR test ususally have a turnaround of 24 hours, while antigen tests require only 10-20 minutes wait time for results.
